Hey Detroit Sports fans do we have a special treat for you! As most of you may know, our organization manages an event call the Big Day Prep Showdown. Since 2005, the Big Day Prep Showdown has been labeled the premiere season opening event for the Michigan high school football season. Teams that are invited to compete in the Big Day travel to Rynearson Stadium at Eastern Michigan University to compete in the only event in Michigan that gives high school players a college bowl game experience.

DETROIT (April 5, 2011) – The University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) and Detroit Sports will host the 2011 NCAA®  Women’s Bowling Championships April 14-16, at Skore Lanes in Taylor, Mich., in double-elimination format featuring the top eight teams from NCAA institutions that host bowling as a varsity sport.

The eight-team field competing for the 2011 National Collegiate Women's Bowling Championship as announced by the NCAA Women’s Bowling Committee includes the following teams, all selected at large:

With only three weeks left until the 2011 NCAA National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championship, teams have begun to make their final push for one of the eight seeds in this year’s tournament.
